PSO Update No. 66, dated June 30, has been posted on the Revenue website. It addresses some of the problems arising from PSO Update No. 54: in particular, where the member decides to defer taking AVCs until after main scheme benefits have commenced.

The Stakeholder Pension Schemes Regulations 2000 (SI 2000/1403) were laid before Parliament on Thursday 25 May. Unusually extensive changes have been made by the DSS to the Draft Regs following consultation with the industry, although some strongly-made pleas (such as for advice to qualify for pension-related tax treatment) have been ignored.
