Without announcement, the Pensions Act 2004 (Commencement No. 1 and Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Order 2004 (SI 2004/3350) appeared on the HMSO website just before Christmas. It brings into force from 17 December 2004 provisions of the Act relating to the establishment of the Pensions Regulator and the Board of the Pension Protection Fund. The Order also makes a few amendments relating to the Pensions Compensation Board.
