Finance Act 2005

As we anticipated, the Finance Act 2005 was published on 8 April having been passed unamended by Parliament at the end of the four hours allotted for debate. For the time being it is available for downloading as a single .pdf document, in addition to being posted on the permanent pages of the HMSO website in the usual .html format.
The Act implements some (apparently not all) of the 49 intended changes to the simplification regime described in the Inland Revenue’s Technical Note of 16 February 2005. A summary of these proposals can be found on this site.
